Last Hurrah

My last working hurrah for the summer boils down to what you see here. I spent a month at Spudnik Press drawing, redrawing, burning, printing, blasting, burning, and printing until I got to the above print.

Stamps!

This weekend I get to do some summer art teaching at the Edgewater Arts Festival. I have been creating some stamps to make quick little frame-able artwork with the kiddie passers-by. Here is a sneak peak at my stamps so far:

Summer Job

Everyone should have the summer off to create.

I think we'd be a better society for it, and not just because we'd all be more relaxed.
I have found several ways to keep busy this month and it's looking like I won't even be able to finish all of my projects, which is what Saturdays will be for this fall. I've been working on my painting of course:

The CIRCUS is in town!

The last week of school was quite busy but we had enough time and left over construction paper scraps to create some circus animals!!
While the younger students made elephants the older kids took a crack at drawing a horse in motion. They did an amazing job! Check out the results after the jump~

Sketch book love

The year is coming to a close and while I was preparing for our exhibition I came across some interesting  sketchbook entries from my primary students. I'm never sure exactly what influences their drawings but I know the video games and cartoons play a role.

Jellies

So here are some of the results of this project.  I loved this fun project, the kids reaction to dripping paint as tentacles was right out of a magic show!
