I was showing the students how to use a cereal box and gesso as an alternative canvas. Had to sketch the owl visiting us from the Harris Loan Center at the Field Museum.

Last summer I began a series documenting the city parks. These sketches are focused on the people and how they are using the park. These are simple preliminary sketches. Did I mention my love affair with Humboldt Park? I was even able to grab a tree stump from the tree people to re-purpose into a table for my house!
